Three-year-old Khadijah Chaudhry from Hull, UK, was born with Leber congenital amaurosis-4. That is a rare genetic condition that causes blindness. Khadijah could only distinguish between light and dark. Her vision deteriorated over time.
+
Khadijah and her parents traveled from Hull to London's Evelina Children’s Hospital, the only hospital performing the pioneering gene therapy surgery. Doctors from the hospital injected healthy copies of a gene into her eyes in two separate proecdures.
+
“We’re very pleased with how Khadijah’s surgeries went. Her mother and father have already noticed an improvement in her vision, which is very promising,” lead surgeon, Neruban Kumaran, commented.

I adore people being a village for children they don't know yet. It's the sweetest thing when others show up for kids, they're just so precious. I hope this business is popular for many many years to come. The boss is someone to admire. 💕💕 it might look like fries, but it's really physical love for little hearts who will remember this kindness and be shaped by it.
