Instead of spending millions on a lavish wedding, Ajay Munot, a billionaire businessman from India, decided to do something else instead.
+
He spent $11 million, which he had kept aside for his daughter’s wedding, to build 90 apartments for homeless people and people in utter poverty. Another 18 houses are currently under construction.
+
Before giving away the apartments, Munot set 3 criteria. The people had to be below the poverty line, to live in a slum and be addiction-free.
+
“I am very happy with the decision and will consider it as my marriage gift,” Munot’s daughter, Shreya, commented.
+
The bride and the groom opened the living quarters on their wedding day. They handed the keys to their new home to a total of 200 underprivileged people.

Doctors from the Changzheng University Hospital in Shanghai have cured a mans lifelong diabetes. They did it through transplanting pancreatic cells derived from his own stem cells. This is the first time diabetes has been cured this way globally.
+
The 59-year-old had relied on insulin for 25 years to manage his Type 2 diabetes. In July 2021 he received a transplant of lab-grown pancreatic cells created from his blood cells.
+
Within 11 weeks he no longer needed insulin injections. One year later, he stopped diabetes medications completely.
+
The team spent over a decade developing the stem cell treatment. China has 140 million diabetes patients, with 40 million dependent on insulin.
+
The new method provides a renewable cell source for transplants, which previously relied on scarce donors.
+
According to the CDC, about 38.4 million people in the USA have diabetes. 97.6 million people aged 18 years or older have prediabetes.
+
About 415 million people live with diabetes worldwide. 46% of them - undiagnosed.

The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) declares 2023 the most successful year ever for wind energy installation. Countries all over the world installed 116 gigawatts of new wind power capacity, marking a 50% increase from 2022.
+
While wind power growth is highly concentrated in a few major countries, some other regions and nations saw record growth. Seven countries are now able to generate all their power from renewable resources.
+
Other countries like Albania, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Iceland, Nepal, Paraguay and the Democratic Republic of Congo use geothermal, hydro, solar and wind power to generate around 99.7 % of their electricity. Norway follows closely with a rate of 98.38%.
+
Germany and Portugal are now able to fully generate power on 100% from wind, water and solar for short amounts of time.
+
“It’s great to see wind industry growth picking up, and we are proud of reaching a new annual record,” Ben Backwell, CEO at GWEC, commented.

Patrice Banks grew up in poverty and was the first in her family to graduate from high school and college. She was also the first in her family to own a car.
+
Patrice majored in materials engineering at Lehigh University, PA, and after graduating she went to work as an engineer for multinational giant DuPont.
+
Despite her flourishing career, Patrice wanted to make a change and be useful to others. Like many other women, she dreaded the experience of being taken advantage of at an auto-service shop due to her lack of knowledge about cars. So, she started visiting night classes to become a mechanic.
+
In 2017, she opened the ‘Girls Auto Clinic’ in Upper Darby, and a year later, she employed five women mechanics. Patrice now teaches other women to repair and maintain cars. In addition to the car shop, she also opened a Clutch Beauty Bar, a salon offering manicures, pedicures, and blowouts for customers waiting for repairs.

James Harris Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD, and Russ Redhead of Lancaster, PA, first met at The Bank Shot Bar & Grill about 10 years ago. They were playing against each other in an American Poolplayers Association tournament.
+
Over the years, they played against each other in different competitions. Over time they formed a strong bond.
+
In 2020, James, who has been suffering from kidney disease, experienced complete renal failure. He began dialysis immediately, but unfortunately, his wife, Denise Harris, was not a suitable match for him.
+
Two years later, while hanging out together after a competition in 2022, Denise confided in Russ about her husband’s health issues. Russ immediately decided to help. He underwent testing and was found to be a perfect match.
+
On February 8th of this year, the two men underwent a successful kidney transplantation at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
+
Someone needed my kidney to help save their life. And if I can do that without any real change to my body and my life, I mean, why not? Russ commented.

Cameron Blasek, 17, from West Harrison, IN, owns a Dodge Ram pickup with the American flag attached in the back.
+
His high school authorities asked him to remove the flag while his car was in the parking lot, but Cameron refused. Video of the situation went viral. Since then, Cameron installed an American flag wrap on his entire car.
+
A 13-year-old boy battling cancer in Hollis, OK, saw the pickup on social media and told his family he wanted to be taken to his final resting place with it. After the boy passed away, his family contacted Cameron and asked him to fulfill their son’s final wish.
+
Cameron didn’t think twice and immediately agreed. He took the 16-hour car ride to Oklahoma with his dad as a travel buddy.
+
“Like I said from day one, the flag is a symbol of unity,” the teen. “It’s something that everybody can come together on, no matter who you are, what you look like or where you come from.”

Look at this fuckin second gennery

Ka’Shawn Baldwin, a resident of Cahokia, IL, borrowed a car to drive himself to a job interview. Roger Gemoules, a resource officer for Cahokia High School, was on patrol that day during the spring break.
+
He saw Ka’Shawn was driving with expired plates and pulled him over. It turned out he was also driving with a suspended drivers license.
+
“He was very respectful when I pulled him over and you could just tell – I could feel that he really was wanting to get to this job interview,” officer Gemoules commented.
+
Instead of giving him a ticket, the officer decided to help him. They drove the car to a safe place, and then Gemoules took Ka’Shawn to his job interview on time.
+
“I was grateful, I was thankful. Made it to the interview, I got a job,” Ka’Shawn commented.
